Portable System - Safe Ladder Access

Safe Access, with Inbuilt Rescue
For Portable Buildings

Uprights can be connected to the jack leg using these types of brackets or if required to the underside of the floor and the roof by specially designed and tested brackets.

One telescopic upright is connected to the cabin. It has an inertia reel or safety line connected to its uppermost part. The end of the inertia reel is extended and connected to the ladder or upright.

The upright is extended using its pulley system. The inertia reel releases more lanyard as the upright is extended.

The operative connects to the lanyard then climbs the ladder with complete impunity, safe in the knowledge that if they were to fall the descent would be brought to a rapid, cushioned conclusion. The upright can include a safe and quick retrieval system, thus an operative can be lowered to the ground in seconds.

The safe access telescopic supports with A.R.M are designed to give a connection point above the operative. A lanyard or inertia reel type device connects to the post and the operative, thus, any fall would be stopped in a very short distance. Ideal for safe ladder access, and for the quick safe access onto and off of roofs. Made from a choice of materials and sizes to suit different working environments. The supports are telescopically height adjusted by fixed rope and pulley system. The post is set in the raised position by a locking device that is activated and deactivated at ground level.

Once the support is stood and connected in the required position it is telescopically extended using the fixed rope pulley system. The inertia reel that is connected to the A.R.M (accident retrieval mechanism and method) automatically travels to the top. The equipment is now ready to use.

The operative has freedom of movement to do localised work or inspections.
